The grey is constant!!! I did put some recondition injectors in about 5000 miles ago and the truck ran like it had a new engine. Maybe one of the injectors backed out somehow and started leaking. My next step will be to pull off the valve covers

Sorry I never answered your questions. My icp sensor is fine, when I manipulate it to call for full oil pressure, it will trip a code. i would suspect injectors as well.

I removed the valve covers and the injectors were tight. I did find two glow plugs that needed replacement. I also disconnected the supply and return fuel lines and blew them out. The stange thing is when the tank selector was switched to the rear tank and I put air into the system I got fuel out the supply end. When I did the front tank I got no fuel???? To recap the rear tank is the one that makes the engine run like it is out of fuel at 1/4 tank. Well I cranked the engine and the very light smoke is still there it idle and increases as rpms are . Somehow I'm siding towards water coming from the cooling system. The engine does start right up and actually runs pretty good.

Have you considered turbo bearings? I recently had both of mine die and it would billow whitish smoke..maybe yours are just starting to leak oil. Another thing I recently had happen was two bent valves..how does your motor run/idle.. are all your valves good?
