powersteering

I have question. Blew the hp powersteering hose then after I replaced it,, the steering seems to be much harder than before. any ideas??

when the first hose blew how long did you drive the truck? its possible that the pump ran out of fluid and burned up and isnt building enough pressure [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img] just an idea

it was late at night, so I did drive it about 8 miles. There was some fluid that came out when I removed the hose. Could it have burned up with only a small amout of fluid in it?

maybe, mine blew on the freeway at 75mph (all over the windshield of the cop that was RIGHT behind me) and i drove for another 10 miles or so with no damage [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img] i dont know if there is anyway to test the pump or not, someone on here might know..... did you check to see if the hose had anything in it, just a thought
