Powerstroke Swap

I would like to swap a Power Stroke auto engine out of a 97 wrecked motor home into a 95 Power Stroke auto F-350 pickup. Would it be much of a problem.

Re: Powerstroke Swap

Hmm...didn't know they put Powerstrokes in Motorhomes? If it is truly a Powerstroke, I can't see any problem at all!
Although, it might be tough getting it out!

Try to get the PCM (Power Control Module) and IDM if you can, and all the wiring...but otherwise since the truck is already set up for a Powerstroke, it should work just fine!
The '97 auto transmission would be a good catch as well, as the '97's have most of the updates/upgrades on them.

Re: Powerstroke Swap

Welcome to the site!

Man trying to find a Powerstroke motorhome is like trying to find some hen's teeth! They are very rare. I think I have seen one. The engine/transmission should work just fine. You might want to check and make sure it has single shot injectors in it. If not either get the PCM with it or swap your injectors into it. You might find some other small differences but for the most part it should be a direct swap.
