Just bought 95 f250 powerstroke and drove great first 2 days on the third when cold it made this shearing metal scraping noise and when turbo kicked in it went away however 4th day i drove it the shearing noise is almost constant and makes truck act like it doesnt want to shift at all. It sounds like scraping brakes but isnt effected by break use and gets louder when i give it gas and it tries to shift up and turbo to kick in help!!!!
It's really hard to know what's going on by your description, but you might want to take the intake tube off of the turbo and see if there is enough end play that the fins are hitting the housing. Other than that all I can guess is major transmission problems.
Ok its been two more days and now what looks like oil is being puked all over the rd and the truck is shifting hard but the sheari ng noise went away? Anyone in 21532 area wanna come help a good woman out here? I love this truck but i have alot to learn about her.
