I drive my truck mainly on the weekends and occasionally during the week. I have a company car and no use putting miles on mine. But after it sets for a week it cranks for about 4-5 seconds before starting, normally it only takes about 1-2 seconds.
I checked the HPOP after setting and the oil is within 1/4" from the top.
Any other ideas?
Not a major issue as it always starts but wondering if this is normal.
Thanks
Check your glow plugs and glow plug relay to see if they are working properly. If they are, have your batteries and starter motor tested at a parts store. They will usually do that for free.

If you haven't had your batteries tested, I would do that. And make sure you are using the right size battery for the PSD. I 'believe' you need something like 850 CCA or above for these rigs.

The batteries are 5 month old and are 1000 CA and 850 CCA.
The engine turns over fast, about the same as a friends 97'
It just takes more cranks after setting than when started within a day or so.
