Source/Supplier for New Starter Motor?

Autozone has a DuraLast Import for $170. Original starter lasted for 12 years and 204,000 miles. I'd like to spend the money for another one that can last 12 year/200K!

Any suggestions?

Aloha KEG-

I have been very please with my Denso starter: USA Made Powermaster Denso 9051 Starter. It really starts my truck up well. My original starter had 215K on it so I hope this one can give me that kind of longevity as well. Good luck with your search.
Mahalo,

Kyle

That's great price. And isn't Mitsubishi OEM for these trucks?
The prices I got were:

Autozone $160 Duralast (they say it is Delco/Remy)
O'Reilly's $160 cant' remember which brand
Carquest $180 Nationwide?

Thanks,
KEG

Aloha Keg-
do your homework now because a lot of the new "mitsubishi or Nippon Denso style" starters are made in China. That is why the price is so cheap. I found an original Japanese Made Nippon Denso starter and the seller wanted $350.00 for it. But the one I have now that is American Made is very very heavy duty and well made but I paid a little more for it.

I think there are a few guys on here that have installed starters from super duties. Heavier duty than the OBS and cheaper. Others will chime in.

Aloha Andy-
here is where I went: Powermaster Ultra Duty Starter - Ford 260 Foot Pound Diesel Powerstroke 9051*-*Powermaster Performance Starters*-*Starters*-*Ignition and Electrical*-*Vic Hubbard Speed & Marine

I am sure there are other places that sell this and you may find a place in your area. I have been so happy with this Starter and what was really cool was that in the box came an individual report/test on my starter. The specs were even better than what they state. But putting that aside I really like it and it amazing compared to my original Ford starter. Good Luck too you.
Mahalo,
Kyle
