I installed the new steering gear last night and bled the system this morning... It works great. Except it didnt fix my problem. I still have a spot right at center where the wheel jumps between right and left and causes the truck to change direction. I need the truck by tomorrow and the only thing I can think of is the steering shaft is loose in the middle?

Any thoughts? HELP!
Also when I have the truck up in the air and I turn the wheels everything seems to be fine.

I greased up the ball joints and put a split consisting of 2 pieces of 1/2" steel and some zip ties around the shaft at the joint and it seems to have helped the problem so I am assuming my steering shaft is my problem. I got the idea from reading one of the threads but cant find it now. Anyone have a more permanant way of fixing this without welding?

For bleeding get the front tires off the ground. Fill the reservoir, start the engine, and slowly cycle the steering from stop to stop watching the fluid level as you go. Keep it full and continue to slowly cycle until no more bubbles/foam appear in the reservoir.
