Thumbs down Towed home again

I got towed home 2 weeks ago when my truck was seeming to miss on my way into work and on my way home it missed then died. I was able to restart it but it would die within seconds so it went home on the hook. Then I realized my water pump had a small leak and could have shorted the CPs so I blew it out and it started right up.

Next I swapped the pump and left for vaction(one week another truck) and then came back added coolant and so on and too the truck for a spin and now here I sit waiting on another tow. It I hit the bleader and looked around the truck, drained some of the water seperator and then it started only to drive 500 feet and now won't start at all.

What to do?

or the IPR wiring harness. Check for a loose connection there..do a wiggle test with someone trying to start it while you wiggle the harness....worked for mine.

Before you throw parts at it...do you see 200 or so rpm on the tach? Do you see any smoke while trying to start?

Unplug the ICP sensor left side of the motor near the lifting ring, Try starting , look for oil leaking from the sensor . Next , may need to get it on a PSD capable scanner . watch ICP pressure & IPR DC % at stall ..

My WAG is the IPR is sticking ....

Also the deal that threads into the fuel filters housing that has the wire coming out of it on the leftside of the motor is leaking diesel can I pull that off and reseal the threads and put it back?

When you have a stall , is it while idling or driving or both?.

Still might need a scanner ..

it stalls while driving it will just cut out and sometimes i can push down on the throttle to power out and it may pick up and run again and clunk but the eventually die and completely shut off. But it seems if i let it sit it seems to start up and if i let it sit and idle it seems ok. i vaguely remember a month or so back it was missing on idol sometimes cause i watch the rpms fluctuate(on my aic) and then it would smooth out. is there a way to test the cam sensor maybe i got a bum one (unlikely). also will the scanner show anything with no engine light on.
