trans wire harness & blown fuses

Going down the road and the truck all of a sudden dead. Get it pulled over and find the #9 maxi blown.

Now a few days ago I had #22 blow and unplugged the heater and all was well till now, so I figured it was related so I taped off the heater wire thinking of a short or something, and replaced the #9.

It stared fine except the od light was flashing and trans didnt shift right.

So I limp home a couple mile and after crawling under and finding a massive icepack between the trans crossmember/skidplate and all the trans stuff I found the ice had shoved the wireharness into the 4x4 driveshaft from transfercase and wore through some wires. I have spliced/shirinktubed/taped all back together, re-ran the harness back to it proper location w/ extra wireties to hold in place.

Would the trans wires shorting on the driveshaft blow the #9maxi? Would it have blown the #22 earlier? Do you think I need to check/inspect anything more before I call this incident over?

Thanks,
bullyandbif

Check the wire on the top of your differential. It and it's sensor will make your OD light flash if they go bad.

Yes, it will, but that's not related to this problem. The VSS is NOT the cause of all problems.

I don't have a wiring schematic handy to know if that will blow the fuses that you had blow.
