Transmission toasted?

I sold my 96 powerstroke a year ago and somehow its come back in my life at my cousins dealership. He wants to keep the truck for himself, I rebuilt my e4od trans to richter69 specs, the transmission now is sluggish and hesitant in reverse and slipping. Its fine in forward gears. Does this mean the trans is toasted or what? Thanks.

Maybe not all the clutches are burnt up but thats what it sounds like. I cant remember how the e4 works in reverse. I think(?) it has another clutch pack for it but not sure at all.

In reverse it uses the reverse clutch and the direct clutch.
