I've got a 97 F250 with a Powerstroke in it that I recently picked up. There is a fitting/sensor that is right next to the housing for the fuel filter that is dripping fuel.
I am not sure what it is called an none of the local parts stores can find what it is. It is the fitting circled in red in the image.
Thats 1/8npt. Remove, clean threads and reinstall with pipe dope. Do not overtighten, that is an aluminum housing it threads into.

It is the fuel restriction sensor and is not cheap. Most folks simply plug it with a 1/8 NPT pipe plug as was mentioned. Here's the factory part number (I've never come across an aftermarket replacement):
