Re: Water Pump..What years interchange

Could be the location of the heater return fitting allows better coolant flow during warmup.

Re: Water Pump..What years interchange

OK guys i have a oem style waterpump from IH that has the one piece bottom hose connecter, is this a 95 style pump? I put a 97 thermostat in the pump , do i have the wrong one in there? The 94-95 pump is the only one that has the one piece bottom hose connecter? I do seem to remember the pump from IH looked a little different than the one i took off.In the summer when pulling hard the temp gauge will head to the hot side a ways also.

actually our 95 international rollback has a smaller radiator than my 97 ford. But, the 95 heats up really quick compared to the pick up.

Re: Water Pump..What years interchange

The correct IH pump to use depends on the engine serial #. If you have the serial # then you can cross ref which pump to use in the IH catalog for the 444 engine.

I think the "cross over" was in mid-1995.

97 thermostat would not fit a 95 pump (too long), so you're OK. Some aftermarket newer pumps have the cast inlet.
