What are the symptoms of bad fuel injector "O" rings

My subject line says it all. I have had this 95 for about three weeks. It has 160,000 mile on it, and it has never had the o-rings replaced. The fuel in the filter bowl looks good. I had heard that the filter will be black with oil. However, I think I have used about a quart of oil in 400 miles, and I get a lot of smoke on start ups. Other than that the truck runs strong. What do you guys think?

Lots of smoke on startup when its pretty cool could just be a couple of GPs out or the GPR. I would keep an eye on the oil and make sure you don't have an external leak somewhere. If you don't have any leaks and if it keeps using a qt in 400, yes could be the o-rings.

Re: What are the symptoms of bad fuel injector "O" rings

The truck doesen't leak at all that I see. And when I say it smokes when started, it smokes pretty bad untill it is driven and gets warm. Subsequent starts when the engine is warm have no smoke. If I'm using my test meter right, the GP's are O.K. I'm getting ready to take this truck on a 4,000 mile trip in two weeks, and I don't want any surprises along the way. Thanks for the answer!
