Exactly. Replacement nozzles are cheap - PM Mike at Tousley Ford (Autonation) and he'll get you set up. Make sure and ask to see if they will adjust shipping to a small padded envelope as it never makes since to send a UPS box with two dime sized parts. I would suggest running new hose while you are at it - available at any local parts store.
Remove the stopped nozzle (bend a wire and try to release the lock under the valance), unhook the hose, and activate the pump to clear that line. If ANY spray comes out the other nozzle, the line is blocked. Otherwise: use lung pressure or mild water pressure (NOT compressed air) to blow the nozzle backward, and tap the inlet on a hard surface to dislodge any debris. If that doesn't get it spraying normally, replace it.
If you remove the nozzle & try the above and it doesn't work, try soaking it in white vinegar for an hour or so, it may dissolve any calcium or crud built up inside. Rinse it off well and try blowing through it. If it doesn't work, you're only out 20 cents worth of vinegar...
Thanks guys, I guess my main question was how to remove the nozzle , the drawings Steve83 put up helped alot.
I will try cleaning them out first and see what happens.
The nozzles snap into the cowl. You can probably get something thin enough between the nozzle and the cowl, and push on the snap tab to pop it out. Just be careful not to break it when removing the hose from the nozzle, and don't lose the hose thorugh the hole in the cowl.
^ That's no joke.
I actually had one come loose. I was going to go the route off taking the cowl off, but I couldn't get the stupid wiper arms off. Lol
What was your wiper arm issue, jasper? I remember first time I took them off my wife's trucks, they were a b!+ch to remove. Some metallurgical mojo between the hard steel shafts and the pot metal arms. I put some loctite on the splines, and now when I flip the release they pull right off without resisting.
Sounds the same.
Just couldn't get them to pull off the splines.
I don't think I tried any penetrate or anything.
