What is a 0603 code and how do I fix it? The truck I am working on is a 1995 ford F350 CC 4x4.

0603 stands for KAM (keep alive memory). I get this with a tuner it's part of the process. Maybe somebody will chime in with more experience. Al

this code CAN & MAY give you a CEL according to my DTC book and alpena is correct but correct explonation is "Internal Ctrl Mod KAM Error".
I ran the DTC's on my truck 2 days ago and came back with this same error not caring because it hasnt effected my truck yet & i have no clue what to do about it.

Somebody explained it to me,but I have a hard time explaining it back, but here it goes. When you plug your tuner in, there is a time when you turn your key in the off position. The tuner is taking the stock info and puting the perf. info. Somewhere along the line the memory has been interrupted during the process. I only got this code when I bought the tuner. Hopefuly somebody else can explain it better. Al

Thanks guys! I just finished the BB fuel pressure shim and cleaned the fuel return screen. For some reason the truck has just been shutting off for no reason while driving it. The motor seems to be running much better sense I just finished my two upgrades but I have not driven it yet to see if it still shuts off for no reason.

thats odd, my batteries havent been disconected & my PCM has never been removed/disconnected??

pulling the #9 maxi also sets the code, as will anything else that interrupts power to the PCM. Didnt you just recently reinstall your tuner? Perhaps that temporarily kills the power and sets the code.

Everyone I know that has used the SCMT has ended up throwing that code too. When I had a SCMT, the code never went away in the two years I ran it.
