2008 F350/F250 Coil Swap Thread

I read on a forum (don't know what one) that a guy put a 2008 coil suspension under a OBS truck or Bronco. For the life of me I can't find it anywhere. Anyone have a link to it or remember it?

Yea, but want to see how he did the front end. The rear axle is basic.

Its 99% done I just need to find a '97 f350 front transfer case flange so I can install the front DS. I'll be taking a 600 mile trip to shake it out in a couple of weeks but as of now it handles and stops like a slot car!!! Incredible braking performance and with the 08 front and '97 big rear sway bar it will not lean!

The reason I did this is well I got bored and having figured the best way of getting a great ride quality from a OBS by coming up with the RS kit V and B spring change I still wasn't happy especially with our braking system..even with adding rear disk brakes. Sooo I looked at a 08 axles and suspension...did some measuring and thought I could fit them in.

A added benifit of this mod is the ability to install the best lift kits for the 08's..a Icon , RCD or Rize and truly have a fantastic riding lifted OBS. In my opnion the last best Ford truck made.

A lot of work went into this and I don't want to be a jerk about it but the install details will only be explained by PM.

Cary

Hey Cary,

Always wondered what one would look like and as mentioned aftermaket coilover is way cool... Been thinking that the coil front end with stand alone rear air suspension (no leaf) would be awesome as well. Veddy Nice....Great Success.....
