Does anyone make a 255/85/16 all season tire? The reason I am asking is I can't seem to find any I am trying to find a replacement all season tires with a little more height but not necessarily a lot more width than the stock 235/85/16 tires.

Dale I. runs them on his truck. Ask him, he'll tell ya! I think he has BFG All-Terrains?

BFG doesn't make that size in all terrain, maybe they did, but they don't seem to now.
I've got that size in the mud terrain flavor on both the psd's i've got. Very happy with them, have about 20k miles on the 95's tires so far, and pleased with the wear. I estimate there should be another 25-30k miles in them at least.
Griz, check out tirerack.com. I believe Dunlop, Goodyear, Cooper and Kelly, and maybe others make them in that size too. There should be something in the right tread pattern for what you want.
nebraska tire has em for cheap...
by the way, that's the size I was thinking of going to. I like keeping my tires at 65psi cause I hate raising and lowering the pressure depending on load weight vs empty weight so I leave them up and the centers wear out (crown) on my 285/75/16s. That's why I'm gonna go with a skinnier tire.

Do a search for Wild Country TXR, fairly good traction but not real loud on the highway

What's the difference between an "all-season" and an "all-terrain" tire? I've got 255/85/16 Wild Country XTXs on my truck, but I think they are labeled as an "all-terrain" tire. Les Schwab sells several different tires in this size.

I'd say generally the all season is more of a street tire and the all terrain is a little bit more aggressive...nothing like a mud tire though. For my driving conditions I prefer something in between all season and all terrain.

I wouldn't mind a good all terrain tire...I just don't want a real aggressive tread...don't need it for what I do Besides I want to hear the turbo not the tires

Griz -- I've got the 255/85R16 tires on my truck. I ended up with the Wild Country XTX which I consider an all-season tire. If you're lookin' for an all-terrain tire, I'd look at the Wild Country SXT.
If you don't have a Les Schwab near you (Florida is like 1,800 miles away from one), look for a dealer that caries the Multi-Mile tire line.
Cheers from Orlando, FL!

Im with Belly, I just got them last September ( Thread ) and used them quite a bit in snow/ice. They performed very well, I was very pleased with them, but they are a 265 not 255, still though I was amazed at how good they handled on the ice.
I had the XTX before I went to the TXR , XTX had no traction on snow & ice and would hydroplane in a hard rain, Les.
