2wd to 4wd body swap

I have a 97 f250 SC 4x4 PSD 5 speed which has a rusting out cab/fenders/bed etc. I found a 94 f250 SC 2wd auto 460 in great condition for 3000. I was thinking about buying it and swapping the body.

I'm wondering if it will be a waste of money or not.

I have to add in the shifter hole in the floor, add in the clutch, and change the computer. I don't know if the wiring harness is similiar. I may have to swap that as well. Is there anyone who has done this before?

You'll need to sway the instrument pannel and wireing harness or dash along with the whole pedal assembly. Other than that it shouldn't be too much of a problem except for the vin number on the dash. You'll need to talk to your state DMV about that.

If you are in PA which I think you are based on your name then as long as you possess the titiles to both vehicles and both titles bear your name then you may swap vin numbers as long as you retitle it as reconstructed. That is the legal way to do it. Many people have simply swapped vin numbers and not reported it to the state with no ill effects. I am not saying for you to skate the system nor do I take any responsibility if you do so as I am only providing the information on an educational basis only.

just register the 2wd swap the body over its like installing a pstroke in a bronco as use the new trucks title to title the truck..... no different then a drivetrain swap but you can also do it the way stated above but titling it 2wd = lower ins rates and lower licence plate tag fees
