3 inch downpipe install problems / questions

I just finished putting on the 3 inch downpipe and doing away with the ebp. I had two issues that I need help with.
First, one of the 12 point bolts that hold the ebp housing to the turbo left it's threads in the turbo housing when it was removed. The only thing I had to use instead was a self tapping fine thread philips head screw. It seemed to tighten down, but can you get enough torque on a philips for it to work there? What is the best way to fix this short of removing the turbo to re-tap the hole?
Second, the new downpipe is right against the forward transmission cooler line where it comes out of the tranny case. How much space do I need between the exhaust and the cooler line from the tranny? Do they make an adapter with two ninety degree angles in it that goes on the transmission where the line goes in that would lower the cooler line?
Thanks for your help.

One other thing I just thought of. Do I need to do something with the ebp sensor since the ebp is gone?

Re: 3 inch downpipe install problems / questions

No need to mess with the EBP sensor. Just leave the EBPV unplugged. I would try to do something different with that bolt hole. I don't think you can get much torque on that phillips. Hopefully you can tap it out but worst case you may need to install a heli coil or timecert. What brand down pipe did you get? I've seen some that do get close to the tranny line. You want to make sure you have plenty of clearance or as the engine torques over it will hit the line and can brake it off. I've seen that happen before.
