400 RWHP

So, I got my new tranny and its "supposed to be able to handle 400 RWHP. What mods do I need to do to get 400 Hp to the rear wheels on my truck. Can I use 160cc Stage 1's and get that or will I need 180cc Stage 2's? Any help is welcomed.
Thanks

The way I understand it is that Stage 2's w/ the right mods (Super duty Oil, Custom Chip, Exhaust, Filter, and Tranny) "Should" be able to land you to 400... I know there are other things that you could do to get it maybe even a lil higher.

Re: 400 RWHP

I got 406 with stock oil and a BB turbo. I know of one guy that did 420 with stock oil and stock fuel and turbo. But with stage II's you can get over 400 pretty easy.

Re: 400 RWHP

If i was going to get the 6L intercooler where would be the best place to find one, and where could i find the pipes to fit it and install it in my truck? Also, what is the point of a "new' turbo housing? I've seen some guys advertise those, but I have yet to find out what good they do.

Ebay for the cooler...Banks for the pipe kit...

ironically, the ebay sale I got my cooler from was also a Banks auction for 6.0 takeoffs. I have pics of the Banks pipe kit in my WEBSHOTS album.

Re: 400 RWHP

I ended up gettin my tranny custom rebuilt by a local diesel tech. way cheaper than BTS and he's repaired some BTS and Suncoast trannies. lol. Anyway yeah I called banks and they would have been helpful had my phone not dropped the damn calls. Anyway how easy is it to install the 6.0L intercooler and bout how much will it all run me? Whats a good turbo to bolt on to get more power without robbin a bank to pay for it. *cough* H2E

Re: 400 RWHP

Stay away from banks. Way too over priced compared to what you can get from local sponsors on here.

Re: 400 RWHP

I think he was just calling them for the intercooler pipe kit, IMO a good way to go for the price.

could be wrong though.

Re: 400 RWHP

I suggested he call Banks for just the pipe kit...

I paid $400 for the kit delivered...heard it was going up though.

paid $55 for the 6.0 intercooler on ebay...

Anyone ever install a 60 cooler with a ranch hand bumper on thier truck?
Is it possible? Or would i have to take off the bumper?
