thats the thing, i do not have the patience nor the time nor the diesel experience (i can completely rebuild a gasoline) so if someone is local around here that can do that for a cheaper price, give me a shout.
im looking to sell the truck so not invest much, but want some more throttle response.

You can do it all yourself, it's pretty easy stuff....probably take an hour or two...
EASY

trust me, if youve rebuilt a gasser, you can do a diesel. im 17 and i pulled my engine out and put new seals on it and a new downpipe. so dont feel intimidated. i rebuilt a gasser with my friend on his truck with hardly any knowledge of it. i have basic mechanic skills. (very basic) but enough to know that i need air tools for some things. and now i know more because i did it myself. with the help from people on this site you could do all that in an afternoon.
good luck

Thats when you drive to the church parking lot and do your thing. Mums the word and Pops is none the wiser.
But the point really is, if you are going to sell it, you are wasting your time energy and hard earned cash. There was a poll a little while back asking whether we would rather buy a modded out truck, or a truck bone stock. If I remember right, (somebody correct me if I'm wrong, or post the link if you can find it) stock was the preference. The mods won't help you sell it at all IMO. Just my thoughts.

its not that im scared of it, its that my dad wont let ME touch the motor, he wants a professional to mess with it.

Talk to my friend that had a stalling problem. Mech "fixed" "the problem" for the low price of 900 bucks and when it did it again a few days after he got it back i showed at the shop where the truck was and he was there with the mechanic. I told the mechanic that he was full of bull and gave my friend a new battery and said here, this will fix your problem and there hasn't been a problem since. I don't trust shops especially with diesel engines. I have had several go on and tell me i need to replace my spark plugs and yada yada. I just run away. The shop my parents go to wanted to charge me 1200 dollars to replace my fuel pump. *rant off now*

I'd just sell it as is and give the new owner the web address to this forum. I'd keep my PSD over getting a 6.0L My Mom asked me if i wanted a new truck, and i said no way, save your money, the 6.0's are junk and with my job, i could never go back to having a gasser.

Keep the 97 its getting close to being broke in. You don't want to go through that again. How could a 16 yr old be bored. Learn how to do things for your self. You could have had all those things done by the time you retype your sig and put the 97 at the top.Hope this helps
