I did it.
You need to change the solenoid from the e4OD, also the shift linkage needs to be changed.
I'd recommend the Tugger kit.
So drop the pan, do all the Tugger upgrades, change the shift lever shaft...there's a small roll pin that needs to be removed. On the outside of the case on the top there are tw0 sensors. If they are in the 4R100, you're fine, just don't try to hook them up...you won't find any plugs on the harness. If they aren't there, you eoither need to find some sensors or fab some plugs.
Richtor69 told me the pumps were different. Somebody else, with lots of experience told me they were the same. Guess what? They are different in some areas. So, if the pump from your E4OD is good, do the pump mods that comes with the Tugger and install it. If the pump is bad, you need to find a new one, and then do the pump mods on that.
The Tugger kit is about $100 from
www.bulkparts.com and the pump is $240. If you order from them, get a new filter, new sealing washers/gaskets for the pump, a new pump to case gasket, and a o-ring that goes on the outside of the pump. All that stuff is about $20. Oh, and if it's 4x4 you need a transfercase to trans gasket as well. Think about a convertor seal from the pump t the convertor too.
It sounds like a bunch of work, but it's pretty straight forward.
