4R100 tranny pan (again)

I wanted to ask another question about installing the 4R100
pan on the E4OD, but I think it got achived and couldnt reply

anyway.....I wanna put the 4R100 pan on while I install the
sonnax/tri-cum springs...please tell me if this is correct
I need to get the FILTER for the 4R100 also if I change to
that pan, something about the 4R100 filter having a longer
pickup tube???? or am I just confusing things?

I just did mine a couple of weeks ago and just went with the stocker and have had no problems....

The E4OD had two depths of pans. A short one for the 4x2 and a deeper one for the 4x4. There were two different length filters to match the pans, too.

The 4R100 used one depth pan, which is the same as the E4OD 4x4 deeper pan. As long as you have an E4OD 4x4 filter you will be fine.
