4r100 transmission pan and filter

Well I put the 4r100 pan on since it has the drain plug.I think I put the stock E40D filter in. I just read some where it should be the filter from a 4r100 4x4.Just starting to get some issues from my tranny, vibrations, noise from the t.c Did I shoot myself in the foot.

Re: 4r100 transmission pan and filter

You can use the filter from the E4OD, no problem. Is it possible that you used a filter from a 2 wheel drive? If not, the filter has probably fallen out of the tube. Pull the pan. That would be my guess.
