5" exhaust

does anybody make a 5" exhaust system from the downpipe back. i also like the look of stacks. i just don't want to spend 600 for a set of 5" stacks. does anybody have suggestions to get either one of these exhaust options

Re: 5" exhaust

You can get stacks off ebay for aroun 100 usually. as far as plumbing it up you'll have to have someone do it or do it yourself. Big rig garages can usually handle the bigger pipe. Or you can get reducers and such with some flex pip and do it in the driveway.

I want em I just don't wanna cut holes in the bed....

Re: 5" exhaust

Here is what I used to make my 5" straight exhaust from my downpipe

Adapter 3.5" OD to 4" ID Aluminized
Adapter 4" OD to 5" ID Aluminized
10" Stick of 5" Aluminized exhaust pipe
Exhaust Adapter 5" ID to 5" ID
2 - 5" Accuseal clamp
ShopDiesel 5" SuperDuty Tailpipe

I got everything except the tailpipe from NAPA. Total cost of parts were about $160ish

Re: 5" exhaust

i have seen a magnaflow exhaust for cheap. it is the 4" sytem from the downpipe back and it comes with a 5" tip. i know its not 5" but would it be worth it. would i notice the difference between 4 and 5 inch.

Re: 5" exhaust

The only difference you will probably notice is the sound. It takes alot of exhaust gast to fill a 5" pipe. 4" would work for most mods and most people could get by with the stock straight pipe. That is, if I remember this right. There was a post a while back about size of pipe and how much it will flow.

Re: 5" exhaust

Diamond Eye makes a nice 4" Dual kit for our trucks. Mine was the prototype.
They manufacture tons-o-4" & 5" stuff in aluminized & stainless. They are wholesale only but they should be able to point you to a dealer if you call 541.566.0255 or 1800.635.9950
www.diamondeyeperformance.com
Their web site is older than dirt but it gives you an idea.
There's a pic of the Y pipe in my sig pics.

Re: 5" exhaust

I got about 250 in my stacks, granted a lot of it was fab work to avoid the high dollar 90's and clamps, etc. We did Twildmans "rustneck" stacks fer fifty bucks. Mine are in my sig.
