6.0 trans cooler in an OBS?

Maybe it's old news, but I just found out the 6.0 trans cooler is quite the cooler. About 3 times the size of the SD cooler, by the looks of it.
Anyone put one on their truck?
Maybe have a part number/price?

Re: 6.0 trans cooler in an OBS?

Yeah, they rock but the price is climbing. They were going for $60-90 a year ago and now a good price is $175.

There has to be a huge markup on coolers

It makes for a clean setup with plenty of cool.

Re: 6.0 trans cooler in an OBS?

Where do ya find em at $175?? or $60 to $90. I've never seen em that low. E-bay auctions start at like $225. for em.

Re: 6.0 trans cooler in an OBS?

Jim, if you have an intercooler, they may not both fit.

When I got my BTS a few weeks ago Brian said it wouldn't fit, because, believe me, I wanted one!! So I got a SD cooler in the bumper!

Wow.
Guess I am behind on the idear a little...
Way out of my budget. Maybe I'll piggy back a couple small ones and call it safe.

Oh, and the 'cooler. It hasen't gone in yet, but it will for sure, soon as I get a chance.
Thanks for the head's up all.

Re: 6.0 trans cooler in an OBS?

I use this cooler. My old tranny ran at 150 Deg new one is about 165 average both being about 80 deg's above ambient. I had to save down the rear of the grill about 3/4 of a inch. This cooler is 1 1/2" thick I am thinking about running a 2nd on since my temps rise a bit sitting in traffic.
