7.L PSD Swap from 6.9L Information?

Currently have a 93' model F350 4wd with a 6.9 in it. Originally had a 7.3L IDI Turbo. Has the ZF 5spd. Is the Powerstroke (94-97) a direct bolt into the frame/ trans? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I wouldn't fool with it !! I know a guy with a '93 truck that has a '97 engine and its a bit PITA!!!

For the time and money that you would have in it you could just find truck like yours (in better condition probably) and just buy it out right

its alot of work.you will need a complete donor truck.you will need to swap every bit of wiring under the hood and dash.complete dash removal is required.im not sure but i believe the input shaft on the zf is different between the idi and psd trannys.but im sure somebody will correct me if im wrong.the psd will bolt right into your truck with no mods to the frame or anything.but you will also need the 94.5-97 psd radiator support as the psd radiator is larger than the idi radiator.you also need all the accesories and brackets for the psd.

only way id consider doing this is if you got ahold of a donor truck dirt cheap and your 93 was in almost perfect condition

Keep the 6.9 and just built the piss out of it for the same money. Just my two cents.
