93 IDI to 94 powerstroke engine swap..

Just curious on the guys that have done this?? I have a chance to get a wreck 94 truck with a Powerstroke in it that has alot less miles than mine and was curious about doing a engine swap. I know the DI is all electrical so I am hoping with having a donor truck i can just move all the wiring harnesses and fuel pumps over to the other truck. Radiator, after cooler.etc. Anything I need to look for? Also are the transmissions the same as far as the standard 5speed. Curious if I need to swap transmission too? Any input would be greatly helped. Supposly this truck has been sitting a few years. So I am going to try and start it before I buy it just to see. Thanks Fo any of the help.

Polcat, it is a pretty straightforward swap, but it is a lot of work. The worst part of it is swapping out all the wiring harness. I think you will have to change all of it, including under the dash, ecept for the harness going to the rear of the truck. Your tranny will work fine, use the PS flywheel. No need to worry about fuel pumps, both truck use an engine mounted lift pump.
Good luck,
Tim
