I have a 96 f-350 have made some upgrades like Turbo, Down pipe, TW Chip 6 possition. Also have Diy intake air. 7% grade and high altitude, pulling 30ft fifth wheel. Can only do 25-30 mph. Transmission was also just rebuilt with a shift kit E4OD trans. Fuel pressure running at 50 psi at Fuel filter. HPOP unsure of pressure any idea how to test? Fuel tanks dropped and cleaned. also fuel filter can pulled and cleaned. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in addvance.

Do you have gauges? It would help if you listed your mods. What you describe sounds like low or no turbo boost. If the boost is low you can expect high EGT along with it. Could be leaking up pipes. Could also be a leaking line between the intake manifold and MAP sensor. If the MAP doesn't sense boost it prevents full fueling.

You can check the HPOP pressure by measuring the ICP voltage. Run a pair of wires from the ICP into the cab and watch the voltage with a digital voltmeter. If you PM me I can give you the voltage to pressure conversion. Don't have it at hand right now.

I do have gauges hitting 1000 on egt, 20-25 on boost psi. I have replaced the turbo with a .94 housing has a faster spool up than the 1.0. I will set up my profile to list mods. I have 3" down pipe and 4" exhaust no cat. I ve done everything I can. Thanks for your input will PM for test prot.

The filter has been changed twice, Also the canister has been removed and cleaned. I haven't been running with the chip, I didn't want to make matters worse.

Going back to the trans rebuild, did this happen after the rebuild and have you towed your trailer since the rebuild but before you had problem. Could be trans related, maybe trans is slipping or skipping a gear?

The problem has been on going before the trans rebuild. Will be checking HPOP this weekend. I found out that the stock injectors had Bad o-rings, and since ford has come out with a new set of seals. could this be my problem? I haven't pulled mine yet, but considering it. If I do pull my injectors would you recomend stage 1's, or the DIY injectors? One other Question If I upgrade the injectors is emissions an issue? Running out of ideas. May take it to ford, and let them run a full diagnostic.

ok here's a dumb question, Have you changed your oil?? I know it may sound crazy but it happened to me right after I bought mine. It seems that there is a sensor on the oil pump that can tell when your oil is too dirty and you will progressively lose power. It will seem like a dirty fuel filter and you will put one on but the problem gets worse, mine got bad enough that it was backfiring and we had a computer hooked up while we were driving it and could not find any codes. Finally a wise mechanic told us to change the oil, he said it was called oil fouled injectors. I changed it and 10 minutes later was roasting my tires with 100 gallons of fuel in the truck. Now when my truck runs badly I have the oil changed and the problem is solved, I tow heavy loads all the time up to 24,00 lbs, my trailer is around 7800 lbs and I rareley disconnect it. Try the oil change 48 bucks at wal-mart with Rotella 15w 40 I'll bet you will be glad you did. I put about 5 to 10,000 miles a month on it and it is aggravating but usually have to change the oil twice a month.
