Question ABS light stays on

Hi Guys I've had my TS 6 position in my truck for about a month and a half now and today after a hard brake application the ABS light came on and won't shut off I tried leaving the batteries disconnected for about 5 min but as soon as I get over 25km an hour the light comes back on the speedo still works so I'm guessing the sensor is fine has anyone ever run ito this before I don't think it's a chip problem and was just wondering if I can still hook a snap-on scan tool to the truck or if the chip will effect it also what could the problem be if it's not the sensor any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Probably not chip related. Don't discount the VSS being bad. When my VSS went out, the speedo would still function (so it must not have been completely out). Same as you, the ABS light would come on once I hit a certain speed. I did all the wiring checks per the manual. After changing the VSS, all was good. Cheers!

I've got a 96 F 350 dually, I just put a new jasper trans in it and was driving it when it started shifting eratically and the abs light came on so I called my trans man he told me to replace the speed sensor on the rear end, It seems that it also controls the abs light. I did it even though my speedo was reading correctly with doubts but it worked. No abs light and no more eratic shifts that was last month and about 5,000 miles so far and no abs light again.

Don't forget to check the blue fuse you can only see when looking up at the fusebox.
