ac injectors for a 97 - Diesel Forum

Hello all I have a question regarding a possible swap for some ac injectors. I actually live about 10 minutes from a local alliant dealer. If I take the injectors out of my truck are they going to take them even though I am buying something different? I did talk to them today and acually they state that the don't even rebuild these injectors. I can't remember what the guy said they did with them but I think he said they (alliant) just want them back so the can go to the rebuild market. Is there anything that I would need to do for this or do they just go right in and inject away. What I mean is there any programming that needs to be done or will the pcm take care of it? Could you please give us some more information on the why are you getting new injectors? Going with stock replacements or something bigger? If bigger, how big?

Edit: Just re-read your sig. If you are already looking at some beans mods, I would talk to them about injectors as a starting point. Maybe some folks that are running them will chime in.

what kind of deal are you getting on them?
i am pretty sure you need a chip to make em perform.

my firend at stateline diesel might be able to get me some for their cost. According to bean and some of his posts on here those are equivalent to his stage ones. There is no searcahble answer on if it requires a new pcm or it will just run it. Anyway if i need a new clutch that's ok south bend clutch is in my backyard about 10 minutes away. Woody and the boys will hook you up real good with stuff. Give em a call for all your clutch needs. Just wanting to get more power for the beast. I plow snow when it snow up here. I also use it as a work truck when I am off from the Fire Dept.

You can throw them in and run them. You will need a chip to get the added fuel out of them just like you would with a set of stage Is with stock nozzles. How much are they asking for them there? Alliant will take any injectors for cores as long as they are complete and the solenoids arent' burnt/broken but broken connectors are OK. They are brand new injectors but from what I'm told they are whoreing up all the used injectors so when they quit makeing the new ones they will have a corner on the rebuild market.
