Let me start this discussion by saying I have nothing negative to say about any of the builders of performance injectors. I believe they have done a lot to improve the PSD performance world. For most people any of the injectors on the market are a great buy. I know the builders work very hard to keep prices down.
For me personally, I would rather have brand new injectors. My past experience and my personal preferences make it worth the extra $ to me, up to a point anyway. It is cost prohibitive to buy new injectors, then pay to have them modified. However, If AC codes out of the box will perform as well as Stage 1 150 to 160cc injectors, I would go this way.
So the question is...does anyone have actual info on AC code cc rate, and do they use the same tips as Stage ones? Any reason not to do this? I'm going for a mildly built daily driver that gets decent mileage, doesn't smoke excessive unless the chip is in extreme, and lasts a long time.

don't mean to be a nit-wit, but AC= what?

I believe they are talking about AC code injectors. These injectors were used in "high torque" T444E engines. That's our motor but International calls it the T444E.

Well actually ya I do have some flow rates more or less. The piston in the AC injectors is the same as in the AB injectors and the plunger and barrel is a single shot like an AA injector. SO that being said when I flow tested an AB injector with an AA P&B that would essentially be the same as and AC and it flowed 155cc. I just happen to come across that spec when I was looking through some of my notes today.

but the problem with new injectors is they cost more and you wont get the same customer service as you would if you were to buy from BDP
[/ QUOTE ]
That's only part true. Yes it will cost more but you can find just as good of service elsewhere as well!

FYI, the AB and AC Pistons are a little different: The AB flows 155cc's, the AC flows 160cc. I have both of them next to me, they are different, just so ya know.

Now to answer the question the poster asked, if you want NEW injectors AND more performance, the AC's will drop right in and get you 160cc's of flow.

What's different about them? According to my paperwork from Dipaco the AB and AC pistons are the same part number and everything. They are both 29.7mm makeing the AC a 155cc injector just like I tested the AB with single shot P&B.

Looking at the pdf to which Keven linked, it looks like everyone is sorta right.
The AB and AC Intensifier Pistons have different part numbers, DPS13050/31 and DPS13052/31 respectively but are the same length, 29.7mm.
Now why the different part numbers and exactly what is different, I have no idea, nor do I claim to.
