Talking ac mod

I read steve baz's web page on this,but some of the pictures that I have seen on this forum looks different.Is there anyone that has a diagram on the ac mod? Pictures speak louder than words.Thanks

Sorry, no pics, but you may want to check out the Dieselsite. Bob has a kit
for the a/c mod that seems pretty reasonably priced.

I just used a shutoff valve from the hardware store on the line. I shut it off in the summer and on in the winter. You only have to do one side. The cost was about $5.

If your blend door foam is in good shape, this mod does nothing. I did it with a ford ragner heater valve so that when I was in max mode, it would shut off the coolant. My thermometer did not show any drop in discharge temp.

It will still keep some heat out of the cab. On a truck without a shutoff valve the heater box gets warm. Open the glove box and feel sometime after driving a while.
