AC Power ??

Or you could go with a Redi-line generator.
No belts, all electronic. Just a big power cable in, big ground out, and you have up to 1600 watts of 110v ac power. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]
It stays off till your appliance/tool is turned on. the demand for power starts the generator. Very quiet, you only hear a fan running when the juice is flowing.

I do not know about Redi-line generator is it an inverter? I am looking for about 5000 watts.

I don't know of a kit but alot have done york compressors,why not a generator.It would seem that the generator might be lighter.Another possible option is realacpower.com .They have applications for six speeds.I didn't see one for a five speed or automatic obs.

It's basically a 12v electric motor that direct drives a generator. Largest they have is 1600 watts...

you could probably get a generator winding and use the PTO output and rig up a shaft to drive it.

Thats something that I have often wondered about. I wish someone that had tried this would chime in.
