Acceleration Problem

I have the 6pos bully dog chip and on the high setting the truck acts like it is derating/cutting back when it gets around 2000rpm(Has done this since ive had it). When you let off the throttle a little its fine also it doesent seem to have as much power as the chip on the other settings It has a new fuel pump,re-sealed injectors (a week old) and i just am a little stumped whether it would be the chip which i have taken off and made sure the connections are super clean or whether it might be the heui pumpitself the injection control valve and the sensor is about a year old im gonna get a hold of a scanner this weekend but im wondering what you guys think. Thanks alot for any suggestions/comments

Sounds to me like the chip is calling for more pulse width than your truck is capable of, in short youre running out of hpop oil, the stock pump can't keep up with demand. When it "derates" keep you foot in it for an extended period of time, after 15 seconds or so you will throw a code, bet its a P1211. These older trucks can't flow as much fuel as some chip manufactuers try to get out of em. Completely unhook the chip and drive it and see if it still does it.
If this is the problem, you can install a hpop off of a SD and get a little more hpop oil.
