What does this mod do and what is it used for? [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img] I see that alot of you have it and was wondering it's benefits.

Auxilary Idle Control (AIC), its just like in a big rig or somthing else, turn a knob to turn up the idle. There is plans in my sig for a Do It Yourself or you can get the Ford factory AIC. I like it alot on cold mornings, just turn the knob and it warms up ALOT quicker, these trucks dont warm up very good at idle.
Is the factory one a plug in? If so , anyone have the part #?

another thought , I see in your sig. your are saving for a 6 pos. chip , in which you can have a HIGH IDLE position put in there. Those Fact. AICs are kind of pricey .. Here are the Part #s though , I found them on JOATS site. APCM: F5PZ-12B641-AA or w/ LCD display it is F5TF-12B641-AD

My old user name was Daveuz , UPDATE AS OF 11/05 new starter new waterpump LEFT ENGINE FAN OFF, new IPR new CPS replaced injector drive (used) all new under the cover harnessess and GPs and all this and my stalling problem was fixed by replacing the PCM , which I had DP Tuner flash in the 80hp econo. 12/28/05 cleaned the Cat Box UPDATE 12/06 334,000K NEW NEW NEW 11/06 1997 xlt CC LB 4x4 all white with a with topper. 285K all stock.

Your better off buying them off of the for sale section on here or e-bay. They are around 1200-1500 from the ford stealership. Or about 200 on ebay.
