I would stick with poly bushing ends and not even consider heim-type joints. There's a reason oem has this type of connection (slide in bushing), not just on p'ups but semi suspensions, too. They just last longer, more durable.
Heim's shine where lots of flex is needed, off road and what not. But for an on-road air bag type deal I'd personally stick with poly bushing joints.
