Am I the Only one? Hypermax H2E

I am a little upset with hypermax. I dont think its fair that the SD guys get a Bigger Down pipe, A 3 Inch Aluminum Y pipe And BOTH intercooler pipes and they pay the same Price as the OBS guys and We only get a Hot side IC pipe that has to be Tweeked unless you have a Hypermax IC. I changed to 3 inch intakes and had to make my own 3 inch Y pipe because the lady at Hypermax told me it was another $400 for the kit They Pretty much has us over a barrel if we want to Upgrade but IMHO it think its Unfair and it Sucks.

Am I the only one that thinks this?

Do you still have the stock fuel system in your truck? The 3" intakes and 3" Y pipe wont work until you get rid of the fuel canister. It works for the SD trucks but not OBS. Fuel bowl is in the way of the Y.

What hybrids did you get?

Re: Am I the Only one? Hypermax H2E

well I just got the H2E kit for my 97. I ordered the SD kit because I have 3" intakes and will be using the SD intercooler. I have a stock fuel system so yes the 3" intake Y hits the fuel bowl. I thought about cutting a flat side in the Y that faces the fuel bowl and welding a piece of aluminum to it. Unless someone has a better idea? I have not finished the install yet so I cant tell you if everything else fits right. I dont know whose measurements to use for the intercooler install so the pipes will all line up correctly. And to answer your question Yes I think its unfair that they charge more to get the correct parts to complete the kit. What will really tick me off is if these intercooler pipes dont fit.

Yes the better idea is to get a fuel system , You are going to need more fuel anyway so call Bean up.

Re: Am I the Only one? Hypermax H2E

No, The down pipe is different at the top since the QS sits in there straight and the stock turbo is at an angle and the Flange size is also different. If you have the Hypermax DP then you should only need the top part that hooks to the Turbo.

You can unbolt the filter bowl, add longer fuel lines to the back of it and just let it sit in there all the way forward. It may not be the best but it will work until you can upgrade fuel system. Seastroker is running stock fuel with his 3" intakes and I did it for awhile as well.

Yep just as Bean said ,I left the bolts out and pulled it forward, i have some new hose to pull it forward and hard mount it by slotting the holes.

Re: Am I the Only one? Hypermax H2E

well I guess I should have just gotten the 94-97 kit because the downpipe is way too big to fit. I guess their is more room in a superduty for a downpipe. Its one piece also how are you supposed to get it in there? I want a fuel system but it took everything I could think of to sell just to rebuild the motor and get the h2e kit. This money pit is sucking me dry, I just hope its worth it. So are you saying you slotted the fuel canister bolt holes and moved it foreward with longer fuel lines? It wont hurt anything will it? This whole install is making me wonder if anything is gonna fit. The damn intercooler tubes prob wont work either. Oh well, have not driven the truck in 2 months whats another 2-3 weeks.
