Another 215amp alt. question

I've been bugging to do this for awhile now and so far the cheapest price I've found is from advance auto for ~$380. Tried ebay and rock auto among some others. Anyone else have any ideas. To those who have done this recently, how much did you pay and where? I'm not interested in a rewound 3G so dont bother with links to any.
Thanks
Jason

I've had a couple in the past on other trucks, and they were exactly what I expected. Too good too be true! Overwinding causes them to build up heat fast, real hot in one case, and once hot they dont put out the juice anymore. Not to mention they dont last very long at higher temperatures than they were designed to handle origianally. My .02 anyhow.

I got mine from these guys:

New Page 1

Also, you might want to change out the positive battery cable to handle the additional load.

This the battery cable that I used
Part #: WC-9329-C (Motorcraft)
F7TZ-14300-BA (Ford)
Comes with the mega fuse and bracket.

I have some pics of the install in my Pictures

Thanks. No prices on site though, what did you give for yours? I'm having some custom 2/0 wires made up at a local shop here for the entire truck.

I'm pretty sure I have all my bases covered on the install, I'm having custom cables made. My main issue was finding the cheapest price on the 215a. Where did you buy yours? How much?

I checked your photos, nice Mack!!! It's great to see another bulldog fan on here. We currently own 2, an '82 R model and a '93 RB that we fully restored last year. Macks make the best dumptrucks in the world, I wouldnt own anything else.
