I am in the market for new tires and costco has some sweet deals right now. Anyone running these on the stock ford alcoas? What's the wear like. I don't tow much only a small trailer during camping in the summer.

I ran them (stock size) before my All Terrains. I loved them but they wore too quickly for me, the truck was also my daily driver at the time. I guess only rotating them once in their life didn't help, but I think I only got 25k out of them. I have heard of 30-35k with them though but I'm not sure what is really to be expected.
Personally, given my experience, if you truck is a daily driver I'd look at something that may last longer. I am definitely going to consider them again after these wear out... especially since I am putting less miles on this now that I have the Honda for the commute. They were awesome tires, but I love my AT's now too.
There are other mud terrains I hear (Pro Comp maybe?) that have harder rubber and more miles, but I am a BFG fan and do not plan on another brand anytime soon.

The Mt's are a little louder when you get some miles on em. I have had several sets of 33x12.5 16.5 at's and mt's. The ats usually go somewhere around 45-55k miles and i do not rotate them like i should. The mt's i picked up uses and they supposedly had around 25k on them about half life. i have put another 25-35 on them (hard to say bounced em around on three trucks) so they wore pretty good. I now have a set of buchshot maxxis mudders, they seem to be wearing prettu decent too. i think they have around 8k on em and dont look to be hardly wore at all. I do like the looks (more bulky shoulder look of the bfg's though) but the maxxis mudder has excellent wet/snow traction something that was a little weak with both bfg's

I run a set of bfg muds 255-85-16's on my dually, and will never put a different set of tires on it. I pull a 20k gooseneck usually way overloaded and have 45k on them with a 1/4 inch of tread left. rotate them regular and they aren't too noisy. As far as I'm concered, there are two kind of truck tires, mud tires and street tires, All terrains are for jeeps and suv's

I have the Nitto Terra Grabber right now, good looking tire... time to replace them. Deciding on those or the BFG. My past BFG on my Isuzu would last 60-70,000 miles before even getting close to replacing.

I just bought a new set of 35-12.50 MT's, I love them. My old set lasted about 35,000, and were only rotated a couple times. Pulled a trailer every day. Had a couple of the lugs ripped off down to the steel cords, and still put another 20,000 on them with no problems. I now rotate my new set every 1,000 miles and hope to get 40-45,000. They are kinda loud, but being 17 I love how they sound, and they arent any louder than any other MT. BFG also has great suppourt, if you get stuck with their tires, they will come get you out for free! Good luck getting stuck though these tires eat through anything.

I will comment on the Pro Comp version...My girlfriend's dad has 315's on his 1999 F-350 (ProComp M/T) and all I can say is
They only have about 20k miles on them and they looks about done. As they have worn they have gotten increasingly loud and bumpy...His other complaint is that the sidewall is not as still as his BFG A/T's have been so they are kind of ballooing out if I can call it that. As far as A/T's only being for jeeps...Not true...I drive my truck mostly in the snow during the winter so the A/T;s are the way to go...
