Axle pivot brackets

Does anyone know where i can get some for my TTB? Or is it possible to make them myself? I had my local spring shop re-arch my springs to fix the sag but he added a bit too much. Truck looks awesome lifted that high but I need to re-align my front tires. I also need to raise the rear up about 1.5 inches but thats easy enough with some spacers and U-bolts

Re: Axle pivot brackets

I would try aftermarket camber bushings before pivot brackets. I think just about any lift kit company sells them.

Re: Axle pivot brackets

for the camber bushings you will be best off going to an alignment shop and have them do an alignment with the bushings. when you chacge camber you can also change caster and you do change toe in/out when you install those bushings. its is quite possible though it sounds like the rearch was quite a lift so the bushing them selves may not be enough and you will still need the aftermarket pivot brackets.

if you need them jc whitney has some in their catalog and on online for something like $170 I think.

Re: Axle pivot brackets

Yeah, there are some on ebay for 150 plus shipping. How hard is it to install these brackets?? I have limited (read none) experience with suspension work.

Re: Axle pivot brackets

I had a spring shop do my drop brackets. They were the small ones 2.5" lift max or something. I believe they are a pain to install, or at least the old ones are a pain to get out. Might as well put in poly bushings while you're doing it. Keep in mind that while your springs are rearched they will drop back down in a few years. I've heard alot of people say that they do. I just went ahead and did F350 springs when I did the drop brackets.

Re: Axle pivot brackets

You can get them from Tough County. That is what I had to do.
