Baby Swamps are in!

well the job is done. my truck is running great. the EGT's are way out of control. the IC is next. I think that a turbo would have been a better mod. it seems that the low end isnt as good as I had unless I run it on hot or very hot(bills burn). on the hot settings by the time I hit 60mph I'm at 1300 degrees. there is definately improvement if I can get the EGT's under control. hopefully it will run better in the lower programs after a few more miles. bottom line is I got a grin but not Perma Grin. it's going to take a little more to get to the Perma grin. Get Twildman to reburn your chip with his stuff, the Ts programs are not that great with the babies, I have been through them all.

Re: Baby Swamps are in!

yeah, I'm gonna have to do something. I dont feel like I have all that much more then with stockers and the edge evo. it runs a ton better but its like it doesnt want to spool up. when it does its great it just hard to get used to the 1.15 housing again. the .84 was awsome. might have to try t-wildman and a 1.00 housing.

Re: Baby Swamps are in!

It works ok with the Fuel7 burn from TS but other than that you need to get the chip reburned for the injectors. I had the same problem with my old Bill chip and babies. Lotsa smoke but not a whole lot of power. When the new chip came in, it was a big difference.

Kevin, the reason that the .84 felt good was because you only had at best 95 cc of fuel @ each injector with the stockers. You made the right move in going back to the 1.15 stock housing to get more air to the 150cc babies. spend the money to get with tony and fine tune your chip to complement your new fuel...don't even think about spending money on a 1.0 housing, it would be a waste on higher rpm's with the babies...

Re: Baby Swamps are in!

he can do a six, but I think there is a problem with his 6 pos burner. He can tell you for sure. T should be back in town in a day or so.

Re: Baby Swamps are in!

hope so put a lot of work in and so far not any gain!! without the chip my truck ran better then the chip did in stock. how can there be that much difference in programming. how can TS sell chips if they run like this?

Re: Baby Swamps are in!

I have the same problem... just got my BDP stage 1s in and changed my .84 houasing back to 1.15. It is making less boost, more EGTs and about the same power. I thought I must have a leak in my turbo - i/c somewhere ??? I guess L'll drive it for a week and get back into it next weekend. Bob.

I've got swamps Toddlers and its hard to get the temps up as high after I gutted the EBPV, if you want to go that route.

Re: Baby Swamps are in!

I talked to Swamps today. they tell me that I got old, bad progamming and that I'm only burning about half the fuel that I should be. that makes sense because of how retarded it felt. so I sent the chip back to be redone. should be here first of the week. I hope this does it cause I could have sent it to tony wildman today. I cant wait to see what good programming can do. I whooped a truck today that I couldnt beat before and I was using my edge evo. ok perma grin on standby!
