The engine mods alone, including clutch, exhaust, intercooler, are about 5K. Add the rebuilt trans, diff, shocks, steering box, etc, and it's about 7.5K, and that's with myself doing all the work. And bear in mind that's for about 340 rwhp, 400 will cost you substantially more.

LOL, no, but you did only ask how much I had invested in the truck, just keeping it real.

Stage 1 Full Force over the Baby swamps, more injector for the money.

However, if I were to do it again, I'd spend the extra small amount of money and go straight to Hybrids.

i bought the stage 1's. and the oil pump. now i need a bigger turbo cause i can leave a black cloud for 800 ft or so. its way faster than my 03 with a tune. bought mine from cass. I may be parting it out though as i wish to sell my old truck. too bad cause that truck gets it.

Anyone know of a reputable shop out here in the Seattle Tacoma area. I decided to keep my 97 instead of buying a 4x4 van and put the money into it.

It's not a daily driver. Used mostly to pull my travel trailer and quads so nothing extraordinary is needed. I just don't have the time or space to screw with it myself.

The truck has around 212k on it and have a few minor exhaust leaks here and there. My boost dropped from 25 psi down to around 12 but that could be injectors too.

I've pretty much replaced the drive train, trans, front and rear alxles. so the engine is the next item. After that, body work and I'll have a new truck again.

Any help here would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

Re: Baby Swamps vs. Stage ones

Go with the baby swamps! I got mine in their first shop and my 96 had 189000 miles. That was 8 years ago and the truck now has 392000 miles. I did upgrade the tranny, put a 6.0 cooler on it while using the pipes that came with it and after taking them to be modified to fit, I painted them to match my truck. My ts needs to be updated now. I have swamps fuel system. I did have to upgrade the turbo and so the D66 is what I have and it cleared up the smoke very well. Lastly, my dyno numbers are three years old. It laid down 390 on Dunbar's dyno. I am pretty happy! Keep on truck in'!
