I recently installed a Banks PowerPack on my 1997 F350 7.3L with less than expected results. I haven't dyno'd it but the seat of the pants feel is not impressive. The turbo spools up faster with the whine of a newer diesel but full throttle feels the same as half throttle & neither feels like ~$3k worth. Trubo boost went from 15psi stock to 18psi at full throttle & I can't even get a chirp from the tires. Banks technical support doesn't offer much in terms of an explanation either. I do have a small leak on the intercooler line just before the intake but I don't think it's bad enough to degrade the performance to the level I'm feeling. Any thougts?
I'm running a stock 4X4 truck with 305 tires & E40D trans, 4:10 rear end, stock 7.3 engine & exhaust(besides the Banks upgrade).

You can go several routes for injectors but they are where the real power will come from. Spend some time reading on here and you will get to know the vendors. They are offered by companies from Black Widow to Hypermax to BDP and more.

Looooong time ago. I did they same thing you just did, and dumped a lot of money on the Banks powerpack. That was when there wasn't near the vendors and performance stuff that is available now. However, you should have at least noticed more performance than you are. I think I was making 22 lbs of boost right after my install. If you can, Tell customer service that you are very unhappy with the kit, and try to return for a refund. I think they will tell ya that after kit has been installed, you CAN'T return, but I believe they have some kind of a satisfaction guarantee, and then ask them how am I supposed to be satisfied if I can't install products to see how they worked. This approach worked for me when i returned my Banks Engine Brake. If you get your money back, then buy yourself a Tymar type open air intake, a 3" downpipe, and get a 1.0 turbo housing, and a custom chip from Tony Wildman or DP Tuner. Also get a Intercooler from ebay, and buy your mounting brackets used, and you will probably save about 40% of your money, and have the same type stuff, only better. If you REALLY want more power, upgrade your injectores form Here
