Blow off valve and turbo timer

these are two things i have never seen for an OBS 7.3...both of which i would like. Does anyone have any idea where i can get either of these. The BOV has to be adjustable, i just want it to keep the boost down to a safe level after i install my injectors and turbo. The turbo timer i want just because the way i drive sometimes and i want to be able to let the turbo cool down.

a turbo timer is an electronic timer that you wire to the ign circuit to keep the engine running after you remove the key, to allow the oil to cool down to prevent oil coking in the turbo.

they are usually a timed unit or can monitor egt temp to determine how long to keep the engine running.

that way you do not have to wait in the vehicle for it to cool down before you shut it off.

Re: Blow off valve and turbo timer

Ok,...... Thanks.......

I guess the alternative would be to just idle a few minutes before shutting down then.....

Re: Blow off valve and turbo timer

You can find the TT on Ebay. I like the ones that monitor temp rather than time.

Re: Blow off valve and turbo timer

turbo temp timer This is what I installed, I really like it since I'm a Vol. Firefighter. No need to adjust time. Most of the time my truck usually shuts off in less than 30 seconds, but after responding to a call it could run for 5 min or more.

I've been looking for the same thing. I just found this on Jegs. It operates on egt's. They have another one which operates on a timer.

BD Performance Cool Down Timer - JEGS

Checking them off of the short list, and adding to the long list.
