I have a 96 250 (7.3), and i just installed a ts 6 position chip. I made sure the contacts were clean and all that mess. The truck cranks and runs good in positions 1 thru 5 (stock, hi idle, +50, +75, +100), but when i switch it into the 6th position (+150) the truck cuts off. And all i have to do is switch to another position other than the 6th, and it cranks right up. Can someone please help me with this?
You need to get back with the programer and see what they say. The only problem with a 6 posistion chip is that after the 50 hp setting all you are doing is hopeing for more power since all the horsepower that the stock injectors will put out is around 50.
Yea be sure to fill in your sig so we can see what other mods you have, just adding a chip without the supporting mods will not have the desired effect.
