I have aquired a d60 and rear end out of a 91 f-350. I have a couple questions. First off the truck the axles came out of was a gas motor, but the leafs that I got have 3 springs. Will these work? And is there any thing else I need to get around to do the install? Thanks in advance, Mike

just did this swap a month ago, so the info is fresh, lol
You will be able to do a strait swap, except u will be unable to get out two of the bolts that hold in the TTB braces, im sure u can but it requires a torch.
Anyway your leafs will work just fine, you'll need the pitman arm, and the tie-rods, and youll need to bend the brake lines, which you can do with patience and channel-locks.
The drive-line may or may not need to be shortend, I had mine done by a pro for $160, all he did was cut .5" of the end and reweld it and put on a slip-cover instead of the boot, which takes up more space, and is more cumbersome. You will not need a new yoke the folks say, you will just need a conversion u-joint, like $16 i think.
Took me and my buddy, both competent "back-field" mechanics 5hrs on a slanted gravel landing.
Just be sure to check all ur seals before install and ur internal components, cause checking them afterwards is difficult. I knew my driver-side seal was blown, but i failed to take the time to change it when the axle wasnt installed, and now i wish i had. But now i also have a locker for the D60.

Thanks, I was also able to grab the front driveshaft out of the donor truck. I was going to replace shocks at the same time, what do you guys think of Ranchos, or are the bilstiens the way to go?

definitely go with Bilsteins...for some more info on the way to get setup shoot a PM over to CaryT...He is the Dana 60 swappin guru...Knows OBS suspensions more than anyone.
4wheelparts.com has a deal on pro-comp shocks, and most of what pro-comp makes is pretty dang good, lol.
As far as ur D60 goes, be careful of the driveshaft u got with the axle cause with the F350's the never made an extended cab version so you either have a long driveshaft from a crewcab or a shorter one from a single cab. Your current F250 shaft will work you will just need a 1350 conversion u-joint i believe, depends on if the yoke on the axle is a 1330 or a 1350, cause the yoke on TTB axle is a 1310, luckily like i mentioned they make a conversion u-joint that works great, try to get the non-servicable version from an american manufacturer, they are better, an example would be Spicer.
Dont worry too much about the length of your driveshaft unless you go off-road alot, or live in an area where the DOT doesnt exist and pot-holes are abundant. BTW, yokes are harder to replace than u-joints, fyi, lol. Pirate4x4.Com - Extreme Four Wheel Drive
