I guess that just makes the search harder!! But I hat eto waste all of the $$$ I just put into the front brakes!
Going to move the thread in a different direction, if you don't mind, but maybe it'll help your search as well.
Does anyone know if there is a difference in the axle assembly from the single rear wheel type to a dually model?
I was looking at a dually dana 60, and was wondering if you could just remove the extensions, and install regular wheel lugs, or even just swap the rotors and hub from my Dana 50 axle, and be good to go?

Yes, as long as the axle you're looking at is from a 95-97 then your rotors, calipers and hubs will swap onto it. Earlier years had slide rail calipers and work with your D50 stuff.
Dually extensions are bolted onto the rotors with threaded studs, the studs have to be removed and the holes drilled to accept the press in studs.
I have two experiences to share....as stated above, the D50 rotor/ hub assys will replace the dually hub/rotor assy of the same years group. If you use 92-94 rotors on 95-97, the rotor is apx 1/4 inch smaller diameter and the pads hang over the edge...ask me how I know. Also, I would bet that the hub is the same between the two year groups, so if you were buying new rotors, it wouldn't matter...I think. On the 92 dually hubs I have, it appears there is no way they could have the adaptors removed.

As far as I know all the rotors were the same back as far as 78, they were all slide rail calipers. The 60 I have now is from an 86 and I sold the one I had from the 92 and they both had the same brake system

I think your right about that, although I never bothered to cross reference the part numbers. I do know they both use the same bearings, races and seals. Even the spindle bearings and seals are the same and that makes me think the spindles are interchangable.

How are they attached? All one unit doesnt make sense from a manufacturers point of view. Man that would suck to have to by new hubs just because you needed rotors. I know Dodge used a double sided stud with fine threads on one end and course on the other. I just assumed (oops) that Ford did the same. The BOM shows that my axle was originally a dually but it was converted to single by the time I got it.
Rodney, I can gaurantee there are two different dia rotors, the bolt on caliper takes the larger one. If you use the early rotor with the later caliper, the pads hang off the rotor. Ask me how I know....
On the hub, I didn't mean to imply the hub and rotor were a unit but that the dually hub is a unit no regular hub + adaptor. It is kind of like a spool....rotor on one flange, wheel on the other...Clear as mud?

Actually I was trying to agree with you, it just didnt come out that way. What I meant to say was that I thought all the rotors were the same size from 86 till 94, not just the 92-94. I measured both the 86 and 96 and once again I agree with you. 1/4" difference in diameter.
My bad.....and I think you are right about the 88-94, just havent had time to look it up.
