Cool Diff. Cover

Dealer quoted me $72.xx for 2008 aluminum diff. cover. Pretty pricey. What do you think about this one I found on Ebay

eBay Motors: ALUMINUM DIFFERENTIAL COVER FORD 86-03 F-150-250-350 HD (item 230215617642 end time Jan-28-08 20:38:54 PST)

Isn't much more and has a drain hole. Should I use the bolts supplied or get new ones?..What size?

The dealer cost on them is $28.0X. I did a group buy on another forum when they first came out (because TDS was ran by nazis) and was able to get them for $28.73 plus shipping for everyone who wanted one... If you need one still, shoot me a PM and I can ask my friend to see what price I can get for you.

Thanks for the offer genie. A little too late as picked up the 2008 cover on Ebay for $47.00 plus shipping.

Dfuser, would you be able to price me out the SS bolts and washers, for the 2008 cover, by themselves, shipped to Canada? Thanks.

No problem, the offer stands to anyone who needs one. The bolts are... Can't remember I will check and post when I do. I got the from Ace Hardware here. They also had some nice chrome ones that would look even better but they only had 2 in stock and I didn't want to wait for new ones...

I checked and the true dealer cost is still $28.03 still. If anyone is interested let me know. And just to clarify - I do not make any money on it simply passing the savings on to fellow enthusiasts. My way of thanking everyone for the help when I need it (much more frequently than I would like...).

I wish I would have put an Aluminum one on when I broke an axle shaft a couple of weeks ago.

What happens to the aluminum cover when you back into a rock?

I'm just asking because I had a huge dent in mine when I got it. I pounded the dent out when I put in the Detroit and its still on there.
