A chip does not reprogram the PCM like a programmer does, it just overides it. So leaving your chip in a certain program will not leave that program in your PCM when you remove it. When you reinstalled your chip you want to make sure you seated it all the way in and you also want to make sure your switch is plugged in the right way and securly.
